Grammar Rant: 'Til vs. Till

It's time for another quick grammar rant!

I see many business are open "9:00 AM till 6:00 PM" or offer specials from now "till Wednesday".

This is incorrect.

"Till" is a verb (to work the soil) or a noun (a cash drawer), not a way to indicate a period of time.

In the cases described above, you need to use "'til", which is a contraction for "until". (Notice the single L at the end of the word?)

It's that simple!

Till 'Til next time!
