In A Minute Reviews: Les Fortunate

It's clear this Boise trio - producer Weighn Beats and emcees Clev Speech and Mo Digs - studied at the stereo of Hip-Hop masters. Les Fortunate's self-titled 12-track platter is bursting at the seams with true school influence. But it’s not all loops and 16 bars, Les Fortunate exceeds the formula with a craftsmen blend of beats and rhymes that accentuate the top talents of all three.

Reminiscent of the Souls of Mischief in tone and tune, Weighn’s almost hauntingly mellow brass instrumentataion highlight Digs’ effortless lyrical precision and Clev’s charismatic steam of pop consciousness.

You can almost hear the crates full of crackly vinyl and faded, dog-eared comic books come through on standout tracks like "Penny For Your Thoughts", "That's Aight" and the instrumental "Outro".
