2010 in Review

Where have I been you ask? Well in short, working a lot of basketball games.
But in long, here's a sample and a personal reflection of my year that was.

-Filled in as back-up deejayed for my band as year turned to 2010 and 2011.
-Refereed a grand total of 248 basketball games (including a varsity doubleheader in Hawarden, Iowa, a college alumni game, a record-breaking 12 game single day, and my long awaited debut working in the SSC Mini Dome).
-Got Lasik laser eye surgery.
-Attended 17 show with my band.
-Found a lost dog.
-Hung out with oneBeLo, who almost took my Sharpie.
-Featured as a part of a guest speaker panel in a college class.
-Dominated at Dance Dance Revolution for PlayStation II.
-Co-coordinated a fundraiser that raised thousands of dollars and earned me a local morning show TV appearance.
-Read approximately thirteen books!
-Wrote several press releases that were picked up in various news/entertainment publications.
-Only suffered three flat bike tires (but did get hit by a car) over hundreds, if not thousands, of miles.
-Got two haircuts. (If you've known me since college, this IS remarkable.)
-Participated in a college poetry slam, advancing to the semi-finals.
-Bought a new car with cash.
-Processed my own tax returns.
-Released four mixtapes.
-Shot, directed, and edited a music video for The Gateway Drug.
-Threw some Frisbee, jumped some trampoline, lifted some weights, and swam some laps.
-Turned in an okay Fantasy Baseball season (gaining 2nd place and 3rd place medals in two of my four leagues), but disappointing Fantasy Football campaign (finishing 9th/10 and 11th/12 in my two leagues).
-Judged a pizza taste test for the local newspaper.
-Designed and created numerous concert flyers.
-Applied for dozens of new jobs; received a handful of interviews.
-Scored a 115 point ‘Bingo’ in a game of Scrabble.

Here's to 2011 being 'that year'.
